Gary and Dawn's farewell

Created by Michelle 2 months ago
We met Terry through our daughter Carlie, and before she introduced us, she told us that he would fit right in, and she was definitely right.  From the onset, it was like we had all known each other forever.  Terry used to come and see us regularly every Wednesday and Sunday, and more often than not, most Fridays, Saturdays, Mondays and Tuesdays too.  He would come up more often but unfortunately there’s only 7 days in the week!

His quick wit and ability to tell the funniest jokes often had us all in stitches, and his mimicry and being able to recall scenes from films and TV were second to none.  In fact, his impressions of Tom Hardy sounded more like Tom Hardy than Tom Hardy actually does, which is no mean feat.

His gentle nature and kindness shone through and he would always speak lovingly of his family.  Terry was knowledgeable on nearly every subject that you can name, and he and I would often spend hours upon hours talking and putting the world to rights.

Nothing was ever too much trouble for Terry, and he would always be the first to lend a hand if ever needed, and he soon became like a member of our family.  No get-together was complete without our Terry being there keeping everyone amused and entertained, he was the life and soul of the party and was loved by all of our friends and family.

We always giggle at your jokes and sense of humour and our favourite one is this….
Only a fool thinks that he knows everything….. Trust me, I’m never wrong.

We will never forget you Terry and we miss you so much.  Farewell our lovely wonderful mate, we love you.

Catch you on the flip side.
